Greek Sage Tea (Thesprotia,West Pindos Mountains)

Greek Sage Tea, known as “Faskomilo” in Greece (pronounced “fahs KOM ee low”) has been long valued for its health benefits. There are many varieties of Sage found around the world. The Greek variety, “Salvia fruticosa”, is adapted to the rocky mountainous terrain of Greece and is extremely aromatic, bearing virtually no resemblance to the Sage that is found in North America. We believe it is the highest quality sage found anywhere in the world.

Brewing sage produces an aromatic, soothing and stimulating tea with a warm flavor and a slight astringency. A word of caution for the uninitiated, our Sage tea can be very strong and perhaps is an acquired taste. A bit of raw honey softens the edges and adds another health dimension to this “superdrink”.
Brewing:
Pot method: Bring water to a boil, remove from heat, add a small handful of Sage leaves. Cover and allow to steep for approximately 3-7 minutes. Pour through a strainer into your cup and enjoy!
Infuser method: Bring water to a boil, add a small handful of Sage leaves to the infuser of your choice, pour hot water over the infuser and allow to steep for approximately 5-7 minutes, remove infuser and enjoy!
Be careful, as Sage can become bitter if allowed to steep to long. Best to start with less steeping and experiment. Sweeten with raw honey.

Absolutely Heavenly
The tea is a heavenly treat that brings great calm to my soul!
Potent but the flavor gets old
This is definitely some powerful tea. The flavor is something I can only stand once a day at most. It is a really strong sage flavor similar to how you would expect in some high quality sausage. The Greek sage tea was a nice change up. I highly recommend this for sage lovers and I super recommend the Greek mountain tea for the overall tea lovers who may not be interested in the sage ;)
Savory!
I enjoy your Greek Sage teas delicious flavor especially before bedtime, and I also like the fact that has many health properties.
The most amazing warming tea
Ive continued to be a fan of this tea for two years. The quality is amazing and unlike any other sage tea Ive had.
Amazing!
I bought the Greek Sage Tea, along with the Bulk Greek Mountain Tea and the Greek Pine Honey, and I couldn't be happier. Delicious and nourishing. Of the two teas that I bought, the Mountain is my favorite. Everything is organic and arrived in a timely manner. I will definitely be buying from Klio again and again.
